Hi! I'm JoAnne Turner (she/her), the Tokengeekgirl and Asexuality 201

About Me
Hi! I’m a biromantic asexual who writes stories about queer, neurodivergent girls that play with dragons. My short story “A Dragon’s Hoard”, was published in the anthology Dragons Within: Embracing Her Fire. My current big project is a graphic novel pitch with an asexual romance set in the geeky world of convention cosplay. In my spare time, I foster an abundance of playful kittens.
I also write articles on Substack giving advice to Aspecs who are looking for more than the Ace 101 explanations found in most mainline media and have started a podcast to go deeper into some of the harder questions.
I'm the type of neurospicy that loves to infodump and research, so please send me your questions. Together, we can figure out the answers. We've got this!

I Don't Know if This Counts: Asexuality 201 Podcast
This podcast goes beyond Ace 101 to the deeper issues of being ace in an allo world.
How do I come out to my significant other? How to I tell the cute person in class that I like their mind?
These are the easy questions, what about: how do I talk to my doctor? What to do when they don't believe me? Am I going to be alone for the rest of my life?
Each episode will take a theme and explore it through an asexual perspective, pointing out potential issues that allos don't see, and discuss how to navigate them.Listen on Substack

Writing: Asexuality 201
If podcast aren't your thing, or you are between seasons, I also write on Substack! Come join me there for smaller articles focusing tighter on one question or one aspect of a larger issue.
Have questions? Feel free to contact me here or start a chat on my substack. If I don't know the answer, I'll go on a research binge, or bounce it back to the community. We've got this!
